Who are we?
N-VEK is a Johannesburg-based architectural and design firm focused on flipping and transforming existing buildings into distinct, functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces. We believe in the power of architecture to do more than shape skylines—it should build dignity, opportunity, and identity.
Founded by a young African designer Naisvic Tshituka, N-VEK is changing the way people experience architecture—by making it accessible to everyday people and relevant to local culture. We combine smart design, sustainable methods, and modern technologies—including AI and energy-efficient systems—to deliver high-impact spaces that are not just beautiful, but socially and economically transformative.
We don’t just build structures. We also equip local tradespeople with future-forward skills, create jobs, and empower communities. Every project is a collaboration between various social groups and designers.
N-VEK thrives to be a force for change by encouraging the public to reimagine architecture.
Architecture for All.
At N-VEK, we believe that architecture should not be a luxury reserved for the few, but a powerful, everyday tool that enhances how we live, connect, and dream—regardless of background or income.
We are redefining what access to design means by breaking down the barriers between people and architecture. Through innovation, empathy, and a deep commitment to social equity, we aim to make well-designed spaces not just more beautiful—but more inclusive, functional, and within reach.
As part of this mission, N-VEK hosts regular raffles offering free renovations to homeowners in need of transformation but lacking the means. These initiatives are more than giveaways—they are an invitation to reimagine home as a space of dignity, possibility, and pride.
But we don’t stop there.
N-VEK also organizes community events and design-build workshops, where locals come together to co-create structures for the less fortunate—from garden shelters to micro-libraries, food stands, and safe play areas. By sharing knowledge, tools, and time, we foster not only spaces, but skills and relationships that strengthen our communities from the inside out.
Architecture, for us, is more than buildings—it’s a vehicle for hope, ownership, and collective transformation.
